OFCCP has released the first wave of Corporate Scheduling Announcement Letters (“CSALs”) for 2018 to 1,000 federal contractors that have been selected for upcoming compliance reviews. The CSALs were mailed to each establishment on the scheduling list and not to corporate headquarters.

The CSALs are designed to give the establishment to be audited with advanced notice and will be followed by a “scheduling letter” that will outline the information that contractors need to provide OFCCP within 30 days of receiving the letter. The scheduling letters will be sent out on March 19, 2018.

During this year’s advanced notice cycle, the OFCCP has made a few changes, the first of which is limiting the number of establishments that will be placed on the list for a single contractor to 10. Though there is no regulatory limitation on the number of specific contractor establishments that can be placed on the CSAL list, OFCCP may place a cap on this number due to limited resources.

Also, no more than four contractor establishments will be placed for audit under an OFCCP District Office and no establishment that has had a compliance evaluation close in the past five years will be placed on the list.
